I'm so plain

I saw a drawing the other day of a woman looking into a mirror and the reflection staring back at her was a skeleton. I thought the illustration was really effective and it had a lot of meaning.
I was bored the other night and decided to do a quick different version of it myself. I drew it on photoshop first instead of paper and its not the best thing I've ever done but I quite like it.
In my version I have drawn a crying girl with vibrant multi-coloured hair, with coloured skin, lips and eyes. However, her reflection is in black and white with no colour apart from the tears down her face.
The writing beneath it says 'I'm so plain'.
Although this girl is beautiful with hair and eyes that stand out amongst a crowd, she still feels plain and unnoticed. However hard this girl tries to change something about herself, whether its her hair, make-up or her clothes, she still sees the same old black and white girl in the mirror staring back at her.
She never sees herself for what she truly is.

Monday Music Madness

A playlist for my week that involves quite a mix of different artists and sounds. Most of them are up beat to keep me motivated and in a good mood.

My Favourite song out of this playlist is probably The Giver - Duke Dumont. Dumont is an A-MAZING DJ, probably one of my favourites at the moment. I saw him play at XOYO and it was incredible! He really knows how to please a crowd and I cant wait to see him again at Bestival in a months time!

Field Day 2013

I recently got my film developed from my fisheye camera and thankfully all of the picture came out really well. A lot of them were from when I went to Field Day Festival at the end of May. Field Day is a one day festival that took place at Victoria Park in London. It was one of the best days I've had, the music, the weather and the people made it unforgettable. The line-up this year involved artists like Everything Everything, Bat for Lashes, Mount Kimbie, Disclosure, Julio Bashmore, TNGHT and many more.
I am 100% going back next year, it can not be missed! I would highly recommend the festival to anyone thinking about it. Plus it's only 1 day so there is no hassle of having to camp anywhere or bringing a lot of baggage!
